Exchange Semester
During your Masters in Computer Science at the University of Siegen, you have the option to take part in an exchange program. Currently, we are establishing relationships with foreign Universities in order to achieve a smooth integration of the exchange semester into your studies at Siegen University.
So far, the following exchange links have been established.
Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway (Erasmus)
Since 2017, we have an Erasmus agreement for sending (and receiving) Comuter Science students at Master level to (and from) the NTNU, the leading technical university in Norway.
Applying for an exchange semester involves filling out an Erasmus application form and providing documents; check with the International Student Affairs (ISA). Any application is checked with the International Office at NTNU and in the case of a positive evaluation, there is a fast track application at NTNU.

The Sapienza University of Rome (Italian: Sapienza – Università di Roma), Rome, Italy (Erasmus)
Since 2019, we have an Erasmus agreement for sending (and receiving) Computer Science students (primarily students with a focus on Visual Computing) at Master level to (and from) Sapienza, one of the most prestigious Italian universities, commonly ranking first in national rankings and in Southern Europe.
Applying for an exchange semester involves filling out an Erasmus application form and providing documents; check with the International Student Affairs (ISA). Any application is checked with the International Office at Sapienza and in the case of a positive evaluation, there is a fast track application at Sapienza - Università di Roma.

University of Oulu, Finland (Erasmus)
Since 2019, we have an Erasmus agreement for sending (and receiving) Computer Science students at Bachelor and Master level, as well as academic staff, to (and from) the University of Oulu, one of the leading technical universities for Ubiquitous Computing world wide.
Applying for an exchange semester involves filling out an Erasmus application form and providing documents; check with the International Student Affairs (ISA). Any application is checked with the International Office at the University of Oulu.

University of Gothenburg
Since 2023, ETI has an Erasmus agreement with the Department of Applied Information Technology (DAIT) at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. The agreement covers Master's students and staff. The DAIT offers different Master's programs. Mainly, the lectures offered in the Master's program Human-centered AI are relevant to students from Siegen:
- Intro to HCAI
- Interaction Design and AI
- AI and human thinking
- Fairness, Accountability and Transparency in Artificial Intelligence
- Digital Innovation in Sports
- Data and Society
- Project course (this is an open project course where students can do a project either at a company or at the department).
However, also some lectures from the Master's programs "Communication" or "Digital Leadership" may be of interest. Which of the lectures you will eventually attend must be discussed in advance.
