A Bachelor in Computer Science (at least 6 semesters) comprising

Foundations in Computer Science and Programming, 30 CP. Sample topics: Introduction to computer science, introduction to programming, algorithms & data structures, object-oriented programming, programming lab

Theoretic Computer Science, 10 LP. Sample topics: Automata and formal languages, theory of computation, logic, design and analysis of algorithms

Practical Computer Science, 20 CP. Sample topics: Operating systems, databases, software engineering, compiler construction

Computer Engineering, 15 CP. Sample topics: Computer networks, computer architecture, digital electronics, digital logic design

The given number of CP refer to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), where 1 semester and 1 study year has 30 and 60 CP, respectively.
Language Requirements

English: We require TOEFL iBT: min. 88 or IELTS: Band 6.5.

Note that applicants have to provide a proof of language proficiency.

Exceptions are made for countries with English as the primary official language (Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Barbados, Canada (exempt of Quebec), Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines, The Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, UK, USA).

Proof of language proficiency must be submitted by the application deadline. Postponement until enrollment is possible, but depending on specific visa regulations, consulates/embassies may require proof of language proficiency already for visa issuance.
Financial Requirements
No tuition fees are charged for this Master course, however the following approximate living costs are to be expected and need to be covered by the student's own financial resources:

Semester fees (currently 326.50 € per semester), includes public transport ticket

Compulsory health insurance (approx. 110€ per month)

Living expenses (approx. 480 € per month)

Accommodation (approx. 360 € per month plus a deposit of approx. 600 €)

Please note that the University of Siegen does not offer scholarships.
